ICC Champions Trophy 2017 News, Schedule, Results, Rankings and Points table:

ICC Champions Trophy is a One day international (ODI cricket) game played among top 8 teams in the world. First, it was named as ICC knock out the tournament and changed to ICC Champions Trophy. The tournament is organized by International Cricket Council(ICC is the administrator).

The format is One Day International and the first tournament was played in 1998 in Bangladesh and the last tournament in 2017 in England. Currently, the format of the tournament is round-robin and knockout. Australia and India won the most tournaments that are two matches each. The ICC Champions trophy starts from June 1st and ends on 18th June. The first round will be round-robin and then knock out. Total Eight teams will be playing a round-robin in which the teams are divided into two equal half’s that is four teams in each group that are Group A and Group B.

Group A consists of four teams they are

Australia

New Zealand

England

Bangladesh

Group B consists of same four teams they are

India

Pakistan

South Africa

Sri Lanka

The matches will be played with each other within that group out of which the first two teams of that group will be qualified for the semi-final. From Group A England and Bangladesh has qualified for semi final and from Group B India and Pakistan qualified for the semi-final. Know the semi-finalist will play with other group teams that are England vs Pakistan according to (A1 vs B2) and India vs Bangladesh according to (B1 vs A2). Pakistan won semifinal 1 and India won semi-final 2. At lastly both finalists will play with each other in ICC Champions Trophy Final match on June 18, 2017. In final Pakistan beat India by 180 runs. Know Pakistan became the defending Champion.
